Note on 2018-19 Tuition Billing

Due to technical issues that arose during a computer system upgrade, September tuition bills were delayed in being sent to our families. This delay will not result in any late fees.

Because of this delay, DPS has adjusted this year’s billing cycle. For the 2018-19 school year, families’ initial bills will be due Oct. 5, 2018, and final bills will be due June 5, 2019.

Families can always pay online at payonline.dpsk12.org. Note: this is a payment portal only; for current balance, please refer to your monthly statement.

Preschool, also called Early Childhood Education or ECE, helps young children develop mentally, socially and emotionally. This strong foundation readies them to enter elementary school and successfully continue their learning. The DPS Early Education program provides quality half- and full-day preschool at more than 80 DPS schools. DPS preschool programs are designed to serve all students, including students with disabilities. Due to limited space, enrollment is not guaranteed; families must apply for the following school year through the SchoolChoice process.

Cost
Preschool is a tuition-based program. Tuition is determined on a sliding fee scale by the family household size and gross income, and ranges from free to out-of-district cost. Contact the Early Education Department for more information.

How do I enroll?
Students who turn 4 on or before Oct. 1 are eligible for 4-year-old preschool programs. Students who turn 3 on or before Oct. 1 are eligible for 3-year-old programs, which are offered at select DPS schools. To enroll, preschoolers must apply through Round 1 of SchoolChoice in February for the following school year.
