It’s important to note that waitlists are dynamic, meaning your waitlist positions can shift up or down based on the actions and priorities of all other applicants, both from Round 1 and Round 2.
As an example, a student living within DPS would move above a non-Denver resident on a waitlist regardless of whether they participated in Round 1 or Round 2.
Another example of dynamic waitlists: if an applicant’s sibling is admitted to a school from a waitlist, the student who remains on the waitlist would shift up because she or he has a new priority group (admitted sibling). Applicants who are below that student’s priority group would shift down on the waitlist. Learn more about school admission priorities.
SchoolChoice waitlists for kindergarten through 12th grade remain active until late September, 2019. Waitlists for ECE3 and ECE4 continue until April 12, 2019 for the 2018-19 school year and April 2020 for the 2019-20 school year.
If you are offered a seat from the waitlist at a higher preference school and you accept, any school choices below that option will be withdrawn.
